Mamiya RZ67 / RB67 Solid Wood Finger Thumb Grip

Premium Solid Wood Finger Thumb Grip with Bubble Level & Cold Shoe for Mamiya RZ67 / RZ67 II / RB67

Enhance the handling, stability, and retro charm of your legendary medium format camera with this Expanded Finger Thumb Grip, designed specifically for the Mamiya RZ67, RZ67 II, and RB67 series. Precision CNC-machined from 7075 aviation-grade aluminum alloy and fitted with an American Rosewood (Yellow Sandalwood) solid wood rest, this thumb grip addresses the primary ergonomic challenges of shooting with heavy medium format bodies.

💡 How This Thumb Grip Improves Your Shooting Experience & Solves Common Mamiya Pain Points:

1. Secure One-Handed Hold & Camera Safety:

   • The Problem: Mamiya RZ/RB camera setups weigh anywhere from 2.5 kg to 3 kg (5.5 - 6.6 lbs). Holding such a bulky, boxy camera body without a designated grip creates constant hand strain and an uncomfortable fear of dropping your valuable gear.

   • The Solution: The ergonomic thumb rest creates a natural mechanical "lock" for your right thumb. This enables a firm, confident hold when carrying the camera or focusing, eliminating slippage.

2. Reduces Wrist Fatigue & Ensures Smooth Shutter Releases:

   • The Problem: During handheld shooting sessions, your hand muscles quickly cramp up from supporting the camera's heavy weight. This tension can lead to jerky shutter presses, resulting in unwanted camera shake and blurry photos.

   • The Solution: By redistributing the camera's weight across your entire hand, your wrist and index finger remain relaxed. This allows for a soft, smooth shutter release - directly improving image sharpness when shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds.

3. Built-In 12mm Bubble Level for Precise Horizons:

   • The Problem: Aligning your horizon through a waist-level viewfinder can be tricky and time-consuming, especially when shooting landscapes on a tripod or handheld from lower angles.

   • The Solution: A high-precision 12mm spirit bubble level is built directly into the grip body, letting you verify and adjust your horizon instantly while framing your shot.

4. Integrated Cold Shoe Expansion:

   • The built-in cold shoe mount lets you easily attach essential photography accessories, such as a compact rangefinder, external flash, or light meter, right onto the camera body.

5. Tactile Organic Comfort:

   • Hand-polished American Rosewood offers a warm, comfortable touch that won't freeze your hand in cold weather or slip when your hands get warm during long outdoor shoots.
